Ayush has topped Gaya district by scoring 477 marks out of 500. Ayush’s father Nagendra Kumar works as a labourer while his mother Anupama Devi is a housewife.

The Bihar board matriculation results in 2024 were released on March 31 after a press conference by Anand Kishore, Chairman of BSEB. The exams were conducted from February 15 to February 23, 2024. Over 16,000 students appeared for the exam. Shankar Kumar from Zila School Purnea scored 489 out of 500 to secure the first position in Bihar. A total of 51 students have made it to the top 10. The happiness of toppers and their families is always at the highest level, be it in the state, district or nation. Each district of Bihar produced its topper in this exam. While Siwan district has Anuj Kumar, the son of a sweet shop owner, Gaya district has Ayush, the son of a labourer.

Ayush, a resident of Simaru of Raghunathpur village located in Gurua block, a Naxal area of Gaya district, has topped in Gaya district. The family were out there happy after discovering that their child had scored the highest marks in the district. Apart from Ayush’s parents, the villagers also felt proud of the achievement. They congratulated Ayush with flower garlands and sweets. Ayush has topped Gaya district by scoring 477 marks out of 500. The mother also took a loan for a good education for her son and later repaid it with their hard-earned income.

Ayush told Local18 that he wants to become a doctor and is ready to work hard towards that goal. He said that after becoming a doctor, he would improve the financial condition of his family. Mother Anupama Devi said that she is very proud of her son. Ayush’s father said that he fulfilled his son’s wishes to ensure he could study with complete concentration. “Whatever is possible from our side, as far as he studies, we will work hard for him and earn money, so that the son can move ahead.” said father Nagendra Kumar while talking to Local18.

The Bihar board has recorded its highest-ever pass percentage this year. It stands at 82.91 per cent in 2024.
