Anything can happen in this digital era! In a recent incident, a woman hiked while wearing a North Face jacket in the rain. She, however, alleged that she got soaked. Taking to TikTok, she asked for a new coat from the mountain top. The woman said, “Meet me at the mountain’s peak and bring a new coat.”
An X (formerly Twitter) user narrated the incident and wrote, “Another day, another viral TikTok with incredible brand response. This woman bought a rain jacket from the north face and was hiking in the rain in Australia where she complained she was absolutely soaked despite the rain jacket saying it was waterproof.”
The user went on to add, “Her request? Meet me at the top of the mountain and bring me a new coat.” The viral video received 10.3 million views.
Soon, the North Face team replied with a video which featured a man grabbing a new jacket from their North Face store, getting into a chopper and delivering it to the woman.
Explaining the incident, the user said, “The team at North Face quickly replied with a video showing a guy grabbing a new jacket at the North Face store, jumping on a helicopter and bringing it to Jenn. Another example of great social listening and speed to response!”
He concluded his post saying, “This is a master class in turning an unsatisfied customer into millions of impressions with positive brand sentiment. Bravo the north face.”

Social media users were quick to react to the post. One of them called it out saying, “Feels much more staged and it’s convenient timing after the Stanley response! Also, the OG video makes North Face sound like an awful brand to buy as it can’t even keep you dry when it’s raining – so why would she want a new one if… it doesn’t keep you dry? Seems a lil staged and the helicopter feels like a weird flex hahah.” Another wrote, “Feels much more staged and it’s convenient timing after the Stanley response!” A person also noted, “This looks very staged.”
