There has been much speculation surrounding Jeon Hye Jin’s return to the public sphere and future projects after her husband Lee Sun Kyun’s death.
Jeon Hye Jin, the wife of the late actor Lee Sun Kyun, whose sudden demise last year deeply saddened and shocked the entertainment industry and his fans alike, is now ready to move on regarding her career. Following Lee’s passing, there has been much speculation surrounding Jeon’s return to the public sphere, particularly regarding her forthcoming acting endeavours. Recently, an official report by Sports Daily has provided insight into the upcoming endeavours of Jeon Hye Jin. One of the most highly anticipated developments is the revised release date of her film, Mission: Cross, which was previously postponed following Lee Sun Kyun’s untimely death.
The movie is now scheduled to debut in the second week of September, coinciding with the Chuseok holiday, a time of familial gatherings and festivities in Korea. Initially slated for release during the Lunar New Year holiday in February, Mission: Cross faced an unforeseen setback due to the tragic news of Lee’s passing. Jeon Hye Jin is reported to play a key role in the film.
Mission: Cross is poised to be an engaging action film, revolving around the story of Kang Moo, a former agent turned veteran housewife portrayed by Hwang Jung Min, who conceals his past from his wife. The plot thickens as ace detective Mi Sun, played by Yum Jung Ah, misunderstands her husband’s secrets, leading to a complex series of events. The film has garnered attention not only for its narrative but also for its esteemed cast, with Jeon Hye Jin and Jung Man Sik delivering engaging performances.
Moreover, the promotional materials for the film, including its poster and trailer, have already captured the public’s interest. The trailer, featuring intense gun action sequences between Hwang Jung Min and Yum Jung Ah, shows the dynamic chemistry between the leads.

The late husband of the actress, Lee Sun Kyun was a South Korean actor renowned for his memorable roles in K-dramas and films such as Helpless, Coffee Prince, My Mister, Parasite, and others. He passed away on the morning of December 27, allegedly due to suicide, as confirmed by his management agency.
