SSC CGL 2023 Post Preference Option: Candidates can now submit the post preference option till November 23 on the official website at ssc.nic.in

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the option-cum-preferences submission deadline for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam 2023. Candidates can now submit the post preference option till November 23 on the official website at ssc.nic.in. Earlier, the last date to submit was November 21. This step is crucial for candidates who passed tier II. It allows them to indicate their preferred jobs and departments in CGL 2023.

The commission has asked the candidates to check the preferences filled by them and revise the same as some of the options submitted by candidates may not have been saved due to a technical issue. Only candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL 2023 tier 2 exam can fill in their preferences. The Tier-I results were released on September 19, and the Tier-II phase was held from October 26 to October 27.

SSC CGL 2023 Post Preference Option: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to ssc.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the SSC CGL post preference option link on the homepage

Step 3: Log in using the required credentials

Step 4: Submit your option-cum-preference

Step 5: Save and download the confirmation page for further use.

SSC CGL is a national-level exam to recruit candidates for various positions in Indian government departments and ministries. The recruitment notification by SSC initially announced the filling of approximately 7500 positions. However, later increased the total number of vacancies to 8415 positions, approximately 900 more than the tentative vacancies, bringing favourable news for candidates.

The SSC CGL tier 2 examination consisted of three papers. While Paper 1 is a must for all the positions, paper 2 was for candidates who applied for the position of junior statistics officer (JSO). On the other hand, paper 3, was held for the assistant audit officer and assistant accounts officer. The tier 2 examination includes four papers which comprise English Language and Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and Computer Proficiency.
