The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2024 results for session 1 have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The top 2.5 lakh qualifying students from JEE Main are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced Exam. Those who pass the Advanced exam can apply to get into the Indian Institutes of Technology across the country.

According to data given by NTA, up to 95.8 per cent of enrolled applicants sat for the Paper 1 (BE/BTech) of the JEE Main test in January 2024. This is one of the highest ever recorded attendance rates for the JEE Main. 11,70,036 individuals in total were present for the JEE Main Paper 1 test out of the 12,21,615 candidates who initially applied. Of the 74,002 registered applicants, 55,493 took the exam for the JEE Main session 1 BArch / B.Planning paper.
