India’s healthcare sector recorded a 9 per cent increase in hiring during the year 2023 despite prolonged funding woes, according to the latest report by staffing company CIEL HR.
Sales and business development roles, critical roles in tech and product development saw major demand in the healthcare sector, said the report titled ‘Health Tech Employment Trends’.
Aditya Narayan Mishra, chief executive officer of CIEL HR, said, “The healthtech sector is bound to grow rapidly due to the socio-economic changes in India and the competitive advantages we offer for the world in patient care as well as in manufacturing and R&D (research and development).”
He said there has been an upswing in recent times on a consistent basis. Despite the funding winter, the hiring numbers have grown and the outlook for the year ahead is significantly stronger. Companies must fine-tune their strategies for talent attraction and retention to make the most out of the opportunity available for us.
