Strong earthquake tremors were felt in the national capital and adjoining areas – Noida, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir after a 6.6 quake struck northern Afghanistan on Tuesday evening. Along with India, reports also said that Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, and Kyrgyzstan also felt the quake. As the tremors lasted for several seconds in the northern Indian states, people immediately rushed out of their homes in panic.
