CBSE CTET January 2024 Result Expected by February End, Check Expected Cut Offs – News18

CBSE conducted the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 on January 21. Around 84 per cent of applicants appeared for the examination

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the results of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 by the end of this month. While the provisional answer key was released by the board on February 7, the Central Board of Secondary Education will issue the CBSE CTET result, final answer key, and cut-off marks soon at the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in.

The CBSE conducted the CTET on January 21, 2024, and around 84 per cent of applicants appeared for the examination. It is to be noted that the board has not released the official release date for CTET results. However, as per the previous year’s trends, candidates can expect the CTET Jan result for papers 1 and 2 to be released by the end of February 2024 on the official website.

CTET 2024 Result: Steps To Check

Once the CTET 2024 results are made public, candidates can visit the official website of CTET and follow the below-mentioned steps to check their results:

Step 1: Go to the official website of CTET at www.ctet.nic.in to download the results.

Step 2: On the portal’s homepage, search for and click on the link titled, ‘CTET January 2024 Result.’

Step 3: Upon clicking, a new page will open where candidates will have to key in the requested credentials.

Step 4: Click on submit and login using the generated credentials.

Step 5: Once done, the CTET January 2024 result will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Save a copy of your result and take a hard copy of it for future use.

CTET 2024 Result: Expected Cut-offs

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) CTET cut-off for January 2024 will be released along with the result. Candidates should note that those who meet the category-wise cut-off marks will be declared qualified. The minimum qualifying percentage for general category candidates is 60 per cent, and the passing mark is 90 out of 150. For OBC category candidates, the minimum qualifying percentage is 55 per cent, with a target of 82 out of 150 marks. Whereas candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), or PwD must secure a minimum of 55 per cent to qualify, requiring a score of 82 out of 150.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is envisioned for candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach classes 6 to 8. Both papers consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering topics such as Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages I and II (chosen from the prescribed options), and Social Studies/Social Science. The CTET exam assesses candidates’ knowledge, understanding, and pedagogical skills as per the standards set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Central Board of Secondary Education.
