Brazil legend Pele has been rushed to a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As per ESPN Brazil, the legendary footballer was taken to the hospital by his wife Marcia Aoki on Tuesday (November 29). The 82-year-old has been visiting the hospital on regular basis in recent years. Pele underwent surgery in September 2021 to get his tumour removed and has been going under chemotherapy since that surgery.
Pele’s daughter, Kely Nascimento, has confirmed he is back in hospital, but says “there are no surprises or emergencies” and that her father is “regulating medication” for cancer.
