Weather News LIVE Updates: Amid heavy rainfall and severe weather warnings, schools in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow and several districts in Uttarakhand, have been shut. Following incessant rains in the past 36 hours in various parts of UP, around 56,000 residents in 19 tehsils spanning 10 districts have been impacted by floods. The state has established a total of 23 flood shelters and State Disaster Response Funds (SDRF) teams have been deployed to specific areas to remain on high alert in case an emergency or rescue operation becomes necessary. A total of 19 people have been killed in rain incidents so far.
