The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship test is conducted to offer eligible students a scholarship of Rs 12,000 all through Classes 9 to 12

The online registration deadline for the Uttar Pradesh National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (UP NMMS) has been extended by 10 days. Candidates can now register for the UP NMMS scheme till Thursday, September 28, by visiting the official website at entdata.co.in. Earlier, the last date to apply for the UP NMMS scheme 2023 was today, September 18.

The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship test is conducted to offer eligible students a scholarship of Rs 12,000 all through Classes 9 to 12. As per the official schedule, the UP NMMS 2023 will be held on Sunday, November 5.

The Uttar Pradesh Examination Regulatory Authority, Prayagraj, is in charge of overseeing this scholarship scheme, which aims to provide financial support to deserving students based on merit and economic requirements. Candidates now have an extra ten days to submit their applications because of the deadline extension. It is important to note that there is no examination fee for the UP NMMS 2023 test.

UP NMMS Scholarship 2023: List Of Documents Required to Apply

— Two recent passport-size photographs.

— Caste certificate.

— Income certificate from the required authority.

— Class 7 report card.

— Disability status certificate from the concerned authority.

UP NMMS 2023: How To Apply

Step 1: Go to UP NMMS official website at entdata.co.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘Apply’ link

Step 3: As a new page opens, candidates need to register and proceed with the application form.

Step 4: Fill out the form as asked, and upload all the required documents (including photo and signature).

Step 5: Crosscheck all the details and then click on submit.

Students who pass class 7 exam with at least 55 per cent aggregate marks in the 2022-23 academic year are eligible to apply for the UP NMMS scholarship. Candidates from the reserved categories, including SC and ST, will receive a 5 per cent reduction in the minimum passing marks criteria. However, those enrolled in Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Sainik School, government residential and private schools are ineligible to take part in the scholarship exam. According to the Ministry of Education’s scholarship criteria, students applying must come from families with an annual income of not more than Rs 3.5 lakh.
