‘This is your mom?’ Pink shocked by fan who threw mother’s ashes on stage at concert

American singer Pink reacted with shock and confusion when a fan appeared to throw their family member’s ashes on stage at her concert in London, U.K.

Videos posted to social media show the singer bending down to observe something that a fan threw on stage during her set at the British Summer Time concert series in Hyde Park on the weekend.

In the footage, Pink picks up a bag filled with an unknown substance. A fan seems to tell the singer that she’s holding a bag of ashes belonging to the fan’s mother.

“This is your mom?” Pink says, incredulous.

“I don’t know how I feel about this,” she adds, before gingerly setting the bag back down and continuing her song.

The awkward interaction is the latest in a string of strange and inappropriate concert behaviour that has some fans crying foul.

Earlier in June, police arrested a New Jersey man after he threw his phone at singer Bebe Rexha during her concert in New York.

Rexha ended up with a bruised eye and the man was arraigned on assault, aggravated harassment and other charges.

The man said he tried to hit Rexha with the phone because he thought “it would be funny.”

Also in June, Paramore singer Hayley Williams apologized for kicking two fans out of her concert after they appeared to aggressively push through the crowd.

Last week, a fan hit Harry Styles in the face with a bouquet of flowers. The British singer — who’s been hit by water bottles, Skittles and even a shoe at past concerts — wasn’t harmed by the floral projectile.

Some concertgoers are taking to social media to remind their fellow fans of proper concert etiquette.

Throwing items on stage, screaming along to every song and pushing your way to the front are some of the behaviours fans are calling out.

After a COVID-19 global pandemic shut down live music venues, and a whole host of other things, for years, it seems a reminder is warranted.

Performers and concert veterans say fans should remember concert basics like picking people up if they fall and not throwing things on stage, so they can focus on what really matters — enjoying the music.
