Ziptron is Tata Motors’ core used in Nexon EV as well and will underpin all its electric cars for the passenger vehicles segment.
In a teaser video released by Tata Motors, heavily-covered Tigor EV speeds up the hill alongside Nexon EV.
While more details are awaited, the new Tigor EV may be based on the existing one used by fleet with a handful of feature upgrades to woo customers.

Earlier in July, Tata Motors launched a facelift of Tigor EV for fleet buyers — X-pres-T. The Xpres-T EV is available with two battery pack options – 16.5kWh (standard) and 21.5kWh (extended range model).
At Auto Expo 2020, the homegrown carmaker also unveiled a prototype of Altroz EV, which is also expected to hit the market soon.
