Skoda Auto India unveiled the Kushaq in March. The market launch was delayed due to the second wave of Covid-19.
Kushaq is 95% localised and Skoda Auto aims to draw volumes out of the SUV. Kushaq lands in the highly competitive segment, which includes the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and MG Hector.
Dimensionally, the Kushaq measures 4,225mm in length, 1,760mm in width, and 1,612mm in height. Kushaq boasts a ground clearance of 188mm and a wheelbase of 2,651mm long. The boot space stands at 385 litres. Kushaq is based on VW Group’s MQB-AO-IN platform.
Kushaq will be available in two engine options: 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI with automatic and manual transmissions.
Kushaq is expected to start under Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom.)
