Hyundai Motor India in 2018 had confirmed an SUV, which will sit under Venue in the company’s portfolio. The car is likely to span between 3.6 metres and 3.8 metres.
Several spy shots of AX1 testing have emerged repeatedly. Hyundai, however, has now globally teased the AX1.
The micro-SUV should be based on i10 Nios platform. The external appearance, however, would be very quirky, the first set of teaser images suggest.
AX1, as teased, gets round LEDs up front and dynamic strips for the rear.
Hyundai is likely to debut the AX1 in the Korean market first and later plan to drive it into other Asian markets, including India.
Hyundai AX1 on the launch here will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, upcoming Tata HBX and Mahindra KUV100.
