The SUV can be booked with an initial booking amount of Rs 5 lakh. The customers can make the bookings online (www.audi.in) or register at the nearest Audi India dealership.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said, “The future is electric and we are thrilled to open bookings for not one but two electric SUVs – the Audi e-tron and the Audi e-tron Sportback in India.”
“The e-tron is not just one product but a brand in itself and we will launch several new models under this brand. With progress comes evolution; and the Audi e-tron and the Audi e-tron Sportback are the pinnacle of that evolution. These are cars from the future, for the future,” he added.
Audi will launch the all-electric e-tron SUV cars on July 22 in India. The new e-tron will be Audi India’s first electric car which aims to target the rivals like new Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace.
Globally the e-tron has emerged as a big success for Audi as it became one of Europe’s best-selling electric vehicles with full range of derivatives.
The Audi e-Tron is powered by a dual-motor setup, which produces 408 HP and 664 Nm of torque. The power is drawn from a 95kWh battery and the e-Tron goes from 0-100kmph in 5.7 seconds. The WLTP combined range is up to 484 kms. An 11kW AC Home Charger can re-charge the car in 8.5 hours.
