2021 BMW M340i xDrive bookings commence at Rs 1 lakh – Times of India


NEW DELHI: BMW India on Friday commenced the bookings for the 2021 BMW M340i xDrive. The car will be available in limited units in India and will expand the 3 Series line-up in the Indian portfolio.
The BMW M340i xDrive is gearing up for a launch on March 10 and will become the first M Performance model to be assembled in India. The limited-production car can be booked online at the automaker’s website for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.
The BMW M340i xDrive is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom) and to offer more bang for the buck, the German automaker is offering a specially curated Driver Training program for the first 40 customers at a race track in India.

The 2021 M340i xDrive is powered by a 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo petrol engine. The 2998cc engine manages to churn out 387 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque. The mill is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and the power is sent to all four wheels with the rear-biased xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The car can clock 0-100kmph in just 4.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 250 kmph.

The BMW M340i xDrive comes with 4 driving modes- Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The car features an M-specific chassis tuning, M Sport rear differential, M-tuned braking and suspension system and an M Sport exhaust system.

On the inside, the BMW M340i xDrive features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a BMW iDrive system, a 3-zone automatic climate control, gesture control and voice recognition, ambient light, and much more.
The customers can choose to further personalize their car by specially curated BMW M Performance Accessories package- Enthusiast pack, Racer’s pack or Motorsport pack.

The BMW M340i xDrive is a long-delayed rival to the Mercedes-Benz C43 and the Audi S4, both of which have been discontinued in the Indian market.
