Sindhu was eased out of her semifinal by a dominant world no.1 Tai Tzu Ying (18-21, 12-21). Meanwhile, her opponent He Bingjiao lost to younger compatriot Chen Yufei in an epic that last an hour and nineteen minutes (21-16, 13-21, 21-12).
