Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy caught using the bathroom on livestream with Elon Musk; awkward moment and quick apology

A hot mic caught Indian American Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy using the washroom during a live stream with the world’s richest man Elon Musk.

“Wait til the end! One of the greatest moments in X Spaces history: The moment when Vivek Ramaswamy forgets to turn his microphone off as he pees with 100,000 live listeners, including Elon Musk. To be fair. We all pee while talking in Spaces,” self-described US political journalist Ed Krassenstein said in a post on X, along with an audio of the faux pas caught on tape.

‘Hope you feel better’

Ramaswamy forgot to mute his phone when he took a break to use the bathroom during a live stream on X Spaces with Musk, US right-wing activist Alex Jones and several other listeners. “Someone’s got their thing open peeing. Someone’s got their phone open in the bathroom,”

Jones first pointed out. The host told the 38-year-old presidential candidate to mute his phone. “Well, I hope you feel better,” Elon Musk said to Ramaswamy. Vivek responded, “I feel great, thank you! Sorry about that, guys!”

On Sunday, Social media platform X showed the account of Alex Jones to have been reinstated as a poll organised by owner Musk backed his return after a ban of nearly five years. Jones is often dubbed as a US right-wing conspiracy theorist. Close to 2 million votes were cast by the time the poll closed, with about 70% voting in favor of Jones’ reinstatement. “The people have spoken and so it shall be,” Musk wrote in the reply to the poll that ended on Sunday.
