Ramiz Raja claimed that Ronaldo gets his diet plan prepared by scientists at NASA.
Former Pakistan captain and PCB chairman Ramiz Raja has once again grabbed attention for his past comments made on television. Raja recently faced criticism for laughing at a racist remark aimed at cricket icon Vivian Richards. The former PCB chairman was slammed by Richards’ daughter Masaba Gupta as the other netizens also bashed him for laughing at the racist remarks.
Raja, once again came under the scanners, this time for his bizarre remark involving football great Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Pakistan captain claimed that Ronaldo gets his diet plan prepared by scientists at NASA.
“Ronaldo ki jo diet plan hai vo NASA ke scientists set karte hain (Ronaldo’s diet plan is curated by scientists at NASA),” Ramiz said on Suno News.
Earlier, Raja was seen laughing at a racist comment about Viv Richards on a Pakistani TV channel. In the video, the ex-Pakistan Cricket Board chief chuckled as a comedian on the show made offensive remarks, saying that Vivian broke her heart when he began dating Neena. In the clip, we can see a comedian is seen making fun of Vivian’s skin colour. When the host of the show asked the comic if she followed cricket or not, she answered, “I do watch cricket matches and my heart broke when Vivian Richards went into a relationship with Neena Gupta. I wrote a couplet then. ‘Jo ladkiyan khud ko kehti hain malika-e-aliya, Unko fir milta hai Mr Kaliya.’”
After Pakistan’s disappointing World Cup campaign, Raja was one of the few, who came in support of Babar Azam. Pakistan lost 5 matches in their World Cup campaign under Babar’s leadership as the stepped down as captain after the tournament.
“If you want to find fault in his batting, it’s his batting against spin upfront when he starts the innings. He is not fluent as he is when he is facing pace,
said Ramiz on Star Sports.
