Partner Content | Raptors vs. Bucks prop bets: Giannis is poised for a big night

The Toronto Raptors complete a back-to-back tonight by facing the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum.

The pregame narrative: Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated against the Raptors earlier this season and is in fine form to do it again tonight. Bucks point guard Jrue Holiday has a very manageable assists prop that we’re eyeing, too, while Jakob Poeltl should continue his trend of posting solid point totals.

Here are our Raptors vs. Bucks prop bets for March 19.

NBA odds as of 1:40 p.m. on 03/19/2023.

Raptors vs. Bucks prop bets

Best Bet : Giannis over 49.5 P+R+A (-112)

Giannis already dominated the Raptors once this season, and we don’t see why he’d struggle to do it again.

Back in early January, Giannis dropped 30 points to go along with 21 rebounds and 10 assists in a Milwaukee win. The Greek Freak has +1,500 odds to notch another triple-double tonight, but this is a far less risky method to tail his stat-stuffing ways.

The 10 assists from Giannis’ first matchup against the Raptors really stick out, because that sum is almost twice his season average (5.5). Another 10-dish night would be unlikely, but Giannis should be able to clear his average, as the Raptors allow the fifth-most assists to PFs, per FantasyPros.

Likewise, we can’t necessarily bank on Giannis to grab 21 rebounds again. That was one off his season high, after all.

But the Raptors allow the seventh-most rebounds to PFs, so another above-average night in that regard should be in order.

Giannis averages 48.8 PRA and has cleared the 49.5-PRA line 12 times in his past 17 full games. A slightly above-average night makes sense in this matchup.

Key stat: In his past three seasons, Giannis has cleared this PRA line in three of five matchups against the Raptors.

Quick picks

Holiday over 6.5 assists (-127) : The juice on this line isn’t so bad when you consider the run Holiday is currently on as a passer.

In his past nine games, Holiday has cleared this line eight times while averaging 8.4 assists. His season average (7.3 assists/game) is also comfortably above this number.

Holiday had seven assists against the Raptors earlier this season and should be in line for at least that many again on Sunday.

Poeltl over 13.5 points (-108) : The presence of Giannis and Brook Lopez sounds daunting for opposing big men, but the Bucks are a fairly neutral scoring matchup for opposing centres.

Milwaukee allows the 16th-most points per game to centres, and Poeltl has handled this line well so far in his Toronto tenure.

The 7-foot-1 big man has gone over this mark in seven of his past nine games. He also scored 15 points against the Bucks while playing for the Spurs earlier this year.
