Partner Content | Brewers vs. Blue Jays same-game parlay: Bet on Gausman, Kiermaier in +310 wager

The first game of the day in MLB features the Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers.

The pregame narrative: After splitting the first two games, Toronto sends ace Kevin Gausman to the mound for the rubber match. We’re tailing Gausman’s strikeout prop while fading the K count of Milwaukee starter Freddy Peralta as part of our plus-money ticket.

Check out our +310 Brewers vs. Blue Jays same-game parlay picks for June 1.

Brewers vs. Blue Jays same-game parlay picks

Parlay: Gausman over 6.5 Ks + Peralta under 5.5 Ks + Kiermaier over 0.5 hits (+310)

Gausman over 6.5 Ks (-200) : As a standard prop pick, Gausman over 7.5 Ks (+102) is well worth a look. We’re going with a slightly safer option here, though, given the baked-in risk of a same-game parlay.

The right-hander has collected seven or more strikeouts in eight of 11 starts this year, including three of his past four.

All three times he fell under the seven-strikeout threshold came against teams that rank in the top 10 in strikeout rate. Tonight, he’ll face a Brewers squad with the fourth-worst K-rate in baseball (25.3%).

The sample size is small, but Gausman has racked up 13 Ks in 38 plate appearances (34.2% K-rate) against current Brewers hitters.

Peralta under 5.5 Ks (-182) : Yesterday, we faded the strikeout prop of Brewers starter Julio Teheran. It worked out pretty well, as Toronto failed to strike out even once throughout the entire game.

Over their past nine games, the Blue Jays have averaged just 5.4 Ks. They have the fifth-best K-rate in MLB (20.0%), and we don’t expect Peralta to baffle this bunch.

Peralta has averaged exactly 5.5 strikeouts over his past eight starts, but that average is carried by a pair of big performances against the Rockies and Tigers. All in all, he’s hit this under in six of those outings.

Kiermaier over 0.5 hits (-139) : Kevin Kiermaier is on quite a 20-game stretch right now for the Blue Jays, which includes:

  • 26 hits (11 XBH)
  • .382 batting average
  • 1.081 OPS

He’s recorded at least one hit in 16 of those 20 games, and that span includes a recent matchup in which he left due to injury prior to taking an at-bat.

The speedy outfielder has no prior history with Peralta, but Milwaukee’s starter hasn’t been particularly frugal in the hits department lately. Peralta allowed a .279 opponent BA in five starts last month.
