After being sent to bat first, Delhi Capitals (DC) put up 164 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their final league game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 on Friday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Prithvi Shaw (48) and Shikhar Dhawan (43) added 88 runs for the first wicket but later quick wickets from bowlers brought RCB back into the game. Mohammed Siraj was the most successful bowler for RCB with his two wickets. Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Daniel Christian got one wicket each. Patel took his 30th wicket of this season after dismissing Shikhar Dhawan and now he is just three wickets away to go past Dwayne Bravo’s 32 wickets in an IPL season that the most by any bowler. Both the teams have already qualified for the playoffs and Delhi Capitals made their way into the top two. Delhi will remain on top of the points tally even if they lose this game and play the Qualifiers 1 on October 10. RCB will play the Eliminator on October 11 against the fourth qualifying team that will be decided after SunRisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians match. (LIVE SCORECARD)
