Man sent to trauma centre following stabbing in Mississauga

A man is suffering life-threatening injuries following a stabbing on board a transit bus in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police said they received a call Friday around 4:10 p.m. about the stabbing, which occurred in the area of Dixie and Burnhamthorpe Roads.

Police told the Star an argument on the bus led to the stabbing.

“It stems from an argument, then an altercation occurred. Then at some point, the victim was stabbed,” Const. Mandeep Khatra said.

The victim has been sent to a trauma centre, according to police, who also said the suspect fled the scene.

No other information has been given on the suspect.
