We loved this Amritsar-based bride’s pink tulle and silk lehenga – Times of India

Brides are back to slaying. Summer weddings are back and would-be brides are busy selecting their wedding lehengas. From pastel shades to floral embroidery, various summer lehenga trends are taking over the wedding ensemble market, but silk lehengas in pastel shades remain a favourite with brides. With social distancing norms in place and wedding becoming an intimate affair, heavy fabrics are back despite the heat as nothing can beat their grace and silhouette. We cam across one such bride, who rocked a silk lehenga on her D-day and looked radiant. Have a look!

Sugam Mishra, who is a popular couture cake artist in Amritsar, stunned in a beautiful lehenga on her wedding day.

The beautiful bride rocked a pink tulle and silk lehenga for her wedding. The stunning creation by designer duo Rimple and Harpreet featured a skirt with floral motifs and birds of paradise derived from vintage archival brocade fragments and jamawar shawls layered beneath a Mughal-esque dabbi jaal.

The embroideries were rendered on the base using resham, kasab-dori, Kashmiri tilla, dabka, nakshi, pearls and semi-precious stones. The look was completed with sheer tulle dupattas in hues of pink and dusty rose.

The handsome groom, Nakul Mishra also opted for a creation by Rimple and Harpreet. He looked dapper in a gold silk sherwani on his wedding.

The tonal jacket of the sherwani featured motifs derived from an archival textile rendered on the silk base with kasab-dori marodi ka kaam, dabka, sequins and pearls. It was layered over a khadi kurta that features resham zardozi and gota textures and silk churidaar. The look was completed with a pale pink silk stole that featured hand printed Varq ka Kaam layered with marodi ka kaam, a cotton saafa and a pair of handcrafted shoes.

We loved the duo’s stunning wedding ensembles and think they looked totally royal on the biggest day of their lives. Tell us how did you like this beautiful duo’s wedding attire in the comment section below.
