Centauri Honey took to their Instagram handle recently and shared the world record news and wrote, “Much more important award is “Healthier people ” and “thank you calls” from all around the world.”

If we go by the media reports, it is a rare variety of honey that is dark in colour and has a strong bitter taste. It is harvested once a year from inside a cave.

As per a statement released by GWR website, here the beekeepers follow a special process to ensure the best quality honey production. The statement reads, “This cave honey is excavated (as the name suggests) from a cave 2,500 meters above sea level, far away from any human residences and from any other bee colonies.

It is interesting to know that the bees here are fed on the medicinal herbs which are grown around the cave and are rich in magnesium, potassium, phenols, flavonoid and antioxidants. This makes the honey healthy and rich in nutrients.
