Things not to do after a bikini wax – Times of India

A lot of us don’t care about things that we should keep in mind after opting for a Brazilian wax. This leads to skin allergy, pimples, rashes, and itchiness. It is pertinent that we follow these things for the initial few days after getting a bikini wax. Here are 5 things that you shouldn’t do after a bikini wax.

Don’t wear tight clothes

Wearing tight pants or underwear can cause itching and redness around the waxed area. Try not to wear undies that are too tight for a few days after you get a bikini wax. Opt for loose dresses and maxis. Jeans and leggings can be worn after a few days.

Avoid intense workouts

You tend to sweat when you workout. This leads to skin irritation and rashes. Therefore it is advised not to go for an intense workout soon after you have got a Brazilian waxing done. This is the time when you can take a break from your regular workout session and relax.

Avoid sex for the first two days

Try not to indulge in sexual intercourse for the first two to three days after your waxing. Sex leads to friction and causes chafing and which might cause redness around your delicate skin.

Avoid fragrant
soap or
body wash

Fragrant soaps and body wash have chemicals that may react with your freshly waxed skin causing redness or itching. Use an intimate wash with tea tree oil instead.

Don’t take hot bath

Hot or warm water can cause pimples or redness around the freshly removed hair down there. It is advised that you take a shower with cold or lukewarm water for a few days after you have got yourself waxed.
