Pre-workout skin care
It’s your biggest mistake to work out your makeup on. Remove your makeup before heading to workout as it leads to blocking your skin pores and sweat glands, making it tough for your skin to breathe. Thus, wiping off all the makeup is recommended through mild face wash before you hit the gym.
After washing off all your makeup products it’s time to apply your favorite moisturizer and apply sunscreen for protecting your skin from UV rays.
Applying Antiperspirant roll-on: As sweating is a very common phenomenon while you are hitting for the workout. So that you feel protected for your underarm’s skin from becoming a prime location to bacteria and germs by applying an antiperspirant roll-on
Do not work out in open hair, always tie your hair properly even if your hair is short just clip it. As it is not possible to wash hair products everyday before a workout, it is recommended to tie your hair otherwise hair products combined with sweat will clog pores and cause breakouts on the forehead.
Always use disinfectant before using any equipment in the gym, use your own clean towel.
Do not touch your face during your workout because your hands are dirty and might get a bacterial infection. So deliberately keep your hands off your face while working out.
Maintain distance & use your own products & towel: The golden rule of social distancing is still of the same importance as it previously was. The pandemic is still surging and existing in a large manner, so maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from others is necessary. Carry your own towel and use your own toiletries and skincare products to avoid spread of infection or bacteria.
Cleanse your face after work out is as important as it’s for pre-workout. Relaxing after a workout with your sweaty face might start trapping bacteria in your skin. Thus, splash water on your face to get rid of dirt, oil, and sweat.
Your hair also needs care after exercise, so wash them with mild shampoo but avoid shampooing daily. Use a towel to dry your hair instead of a blow dryer.
Do not ignore your body, change your sweaty clothes after your workout as the body tends to sweat and release toxins. Toxins usually get soaked into clothes and it can clog pores and lead to body rashes and acne. One should preferably take a quick shower and wear dry and clean clothes, if bathing is not possible just change your clothes.
Your skin might feel the burning sensation due to the release of heat from the body during and post-workout. So consider taking a shower to cool down your skin.
Exfoliate your skin, apply serum and at the end applying moisturizer on your skin with a cooling gel can also be considered effective.
A regular exercise routine is good for your mind and your body, but if you don’t keep your skincare routine top of mind too, it can cause lasting damage. Luckily, you don’t have to give up excellent skin texture.
