Expressing delight over the fact that rock legend and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger enjoyed his stay in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India is a land brimming with seekers, offering solace and ‘Satisfaction’ to all. The legendary rockstar, who is currently in India, on Friday, shared a thank-you India note on microblogging site X, with a song and a note in Hindi.
“Thanks and Hello India. Away from daily chores, I felt very happy to come here. With much love to you all, Mick.” the rock-and-roll star’s post read. He also shared a video of him singing and expressing his happiness during his stay in India.
Jagger’s post had gone viral with over 9.48 lakh views on X (formerly Twitter).
Replying to the post with one of Jagger’s famous songs, PM Modi said, “‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’, but India is a land brimming with seekers, offering solace and ‘Satisfaction’ to all. Delighted to know you found joy among the people and culture here. Do keep coming…”

Recently, Jagger was spotted watching ICC World Cup England-Pakistan cricket match at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens stadium.
He also posted a series of pictures on his official Instagram handle, taking in the sights and sounds of the Festival of Light– Diwali– on the streets of Kolkata. Along with the post, he wrote, “Happy Diwali and Kali Pujo. Happy Diwali and Jai Kali Maa.”
The first picture showed him standing in the streets of Kolkata while dressed in a distinctive printed shirt, pants, and cap.
This is reportedly Jagger’s second trip to the city after almost a decade.
