Doi paneer is a unique dish in which paneer is cooked with tangy curd and some spices.

Here is the step-by-step procedure of making Bengali doi paneer:
Step 1 – Wash paneer and cut it into cubes. Sprinkle some salt and black pepper powder on them.
Step 2 – Heat some oil in a pan. Fry the seasoned paneer cubes on low flame till they turn light brown in colour.
Step 3 – Grind tomato slices and crushed ginger to make a paste. Keep aside.
Step 4 – Then add curd in the blender along with some water, one chilli and a pinch of turmeric powder, Grind to make a paste.
Step 5 – Now, in a pan, heat ghee, fry whole red chilli, add tomato-ginger paste and cook for few minutes. Add salt and a dash of gur. Mix well.
Step 6 – Add the curd mixture and cook the masala. Then add water and let it boil.
Step 7 – Add fried paneer cubes and some garam masala. Mix and serve hot.
