The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has been hard on us. Besides affecting our health, it also took a toll on various industries – hospitality being one of them. Several hotels and restaurants were forced to shut down due to the continuous dip in sales. However, many restaurants across the globe made their way through the adversities and kept working incessantly to serve their patrons. In fact, some of the restaurants have been working 24×7, without break. This subsequently is affecting the employees’ mental and physical health. Which is why a restaurant in the United States decided to give its employees a ‘well deserved break’.
A Japanese restaurant named Ramen House, situated in Louisville in Kentucky recently took its employees on a week-long trip to Las Vegas. The restaurant took to its official Facebook page to share the information. Sharing a picture of the employees from Las Vegas, it wrote, “Sorry we are closed this week…our employees have worked so hard and diligently through all the crazy times we went through. They deserve a break. So we’ve decided to take them to Vegas. We will return next week during normal business hours. Till then (peace).” Take a look at the post.
The gesture by the restaurant in no time won hearts on the internet. The post received more than 2k likes, 1k shares and hundreds of comments.
“I already loved y’all’s food but this is amazing, thank you for showing your employees you appreciate them!” wrote one user in the comments.
Another comment read, “Well deserved! Thanks for all you do. Now I know I’ll be craving ramen house all week!”
