Someone in B-Town is busy with her film promotions and it seems the work is making her crave lots of sweets these days. Mimi actress Kriti Sanon has got a sweet tooth and she doesn’t mind sharing her cravings with fans. In her recent Instagram Stories, the actress is pampering herself with a dish of Ghevar. The Rajasthani sweet-dish is a celebrated cuisine for the Hindu month of Sawan for occasions of Teej and Raksha Bandhan, and seems like it has already found a home before the month starts.
Kriti Sanon shared a video of the yummy disc-shaped sweet and wrote with some guilty pleasure, “Ghevar Time. (Yes, I know it’s morning). Mimi promotions are giving me sweet cravings.” We feel Kriti as we drool over the milky delight and crave for those almonds and pistachios sprinkled on top. Here’s a look:
This honeycomb sweet-dish is popular around many other North Indian states. If you’re wondering if you could make it in your kitchen, we say yes! With a bit of patience and lots of love, you can make ghevar for your festivities too. Make sure you have a good supply of ghee, milk, flour, sugar and nuts to slay this dish. Kriti Sanon’s love for food is not restricted to indulgence but also stretches to cooking. Although she hasn’t posted much about her culinary endeavours for almost a year on Instagram, she showed us her sumptuous-looking home-baked chocolate babka last year.
Last year on Mother’s Day, she didn’t let down a chance to bake something sweet. She posted a video of a chocolate tart that we couldn’t stop drooling over.
We could call the year 2020 Kriti’s chocolate year if we saw her indulging in these choco-coconut bites last summer.
In fact, Kriti chose to start her lockdown diaries with a dark chocolate chia pudding. But her caption tells us that chia and pudding are not a compatible pair for this actress.
These are Kriti Sanon’s picks for a sweet craving. What’s yours? Let us know in the comments section.
