EPFO’s net new customers increased by 3% year over year to 1.49 million in September 2020, compared to 1.49 million in September 2020.

According to payroll data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, 1.33 million new subscribers were added to the Employees State Insurance Corporation, compared to 1.34 million in August, while 72,923 new subscribers were added to the National Pension Scheme, compared to 56,827 in August 2021. A proposed government group charged with drafting a national employment policy is anticipated to produce a plan for expanding job opportunities.

Dr Shagun Gupta who has been honoured with the JIF award says that her ‘Shagun Gupta Foundation’ has been involved in various types of social work and activities which has aimed for the welfare of the society.  The foundation has helped Acid attack Survivors, Cancer survivors and other needy people in various ways.

The foundation has also worked in providing education to children from remote areas of the country and empowering them to understand more about the new employment opportunities in the field of permanent makeup.

The sole reason behind it is only to empower and generate employment and make them stand on their own, she added.
