Crude Oil, Natural Gas Output Fall In May 2021


India’s crude oil, natural gas output fell in May 2021

India’s crude oil production fell by 5.78 per cent to 2,437.96 thousand metric tonnes in May 2021, the period for which the target was 2,578 thousand metric tonnes.

The cumulative production during the April-May 2021 period was 4,931 thousand metric tonnes, which was 2.27 per cent lower than the crude oil output target of 5,043 thousand metric tonnes for the period, according to the data released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Production of natural gas during May 2021 was 2,739.65 million standard cubic meters, 4 per cent lower than the target of 2,856 million standard cubic meters fixed for the period.

Natural gas production for the cumulative period of April-May 2021 was 5,391 million standard cubic meters, 2.67 per cent lower than the target for the period, which was 5,535 million standard cubic meters.
