Godda is a small town in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It lies near the Rajmahal hills, located on the bank of the Ganges in the south. The town is famous for the Rajmahal coalfield in Lalmatia. The operator of the food joint, Arun Kumar shared that he has been running the restaurant in Godda for at least 25 years. As per Arun, about 250 people visit his food joint every day to have food. People enjoy both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals here. Many people have claimed that the food here tastes like home, hence people who are unable to cook or have migrated to this place for work, enjoy a hot and fresh meal. Many prefer to eat two meals a day in this hotel.
Arun Kumar further informed that the price of the dinner remains unchanged from the morning meal. At night four pieces of bread (rotis) are served. Due to the reasonable price, people from all walks of life can get a fresh meal here. One of the customers, Dinesh Kumar, came to the hotel and said that the food at this joint is quite delicious and he brought along his family as well. If any guest arrives at his place, he makes sure to bring them to this place to make them enjoy a delicious meal or he gets the food packed from here.
