AIBE 18 Registration Deadline Extended, Exam to be Held on November 26 – News18

AIBE 18: The application window for the exam was closed on October 9 but has now been extended to Nov 4. The last date for the payment of application fees is Nov 5

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has extended the registration deadline for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 18 exam to November 4. The application window for the exam was closed on October 9 but has now been extended. The last date for the payment of application fees is November 5. “It is hereby notified that online registration and exam date for AIBE XVIII has been extended,” read the official notice by the council.

The exam will now be held on November 26. It was earlier scheduled to be held on October 29. Candidates can access their admit cards between November 18 to 22, on the official exam website, allindiabarexamination.com, or barcouncilofindia.org.

AIBE 18: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to allindiabarexamination.com.

Step 2: On the homepage search for the ‘AIBE XVIII Registration 2023′ link and tap on it.

Step 3: Register yourself.

Step 4: Fill in the form with the required details.

Step 5: Pay the application fees, and submit.

Step 6: Take a printout of the acknowledgment form for further use.

To successfully pass the bar exam, candidates from the OBC or open category must achieve a minimum score of 45 per cent. For SC, ST, and specially-abled candidates, the passing score is set at 40 per cent. Individuals who pass AIBE 18 will be awarded a Certificate of Practice (COP) by the BCI, a crucial document for practicing law in India.

On the exam day, candidates need to make sure they bring a government-issued photo ID card, such as a Voter ID card, Passport, Driver’s License, or Aadhaar Card. Furthermore, they should have their Advocate enrolment ID from the State Bar Council with them.

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a necessary test for law graduates who want to become practising lawyers in India. The Bar Council of India (BCI) administers this exam to evaluate candidates’ understanding and abilities in the fundamental aspects of law and legal practice.
