Uttar Pradesh Govt Announces Free Computer Course For OBC Candidates – News18


The age for interested candidates should not be more than 35 years.

Candidates should have passed 12th since the selection for this course will be done based on marks obtained in 12th.

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a free computer course for candidates from the OBC (Other Backward Classes) category. Under this course, CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) and O-level computer courses are free of cost to the students. O-level courses are foundation-level courses in Computer Applications. Interested candidates can apply for this course from June to July. The candidates can enrol for this course via the O-Level and CCC Computer Training Scheme portal of the UP Backward Class Welfare Department. Eligibility For Admission

Candidates should have passed 12th since the selection for this course will be done based on marks obtained in 12th. Also, the applicant should not avail of any benefits from the government scheme like scholarship/fee reimbursement, etc. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs 1,00,000.

Age Limit

The age for the interested candidates should not be more than 35 years.

Application Process

Registration for the training in these courses is done on the official website of the scheme. The candidates will not be charged for the registration. Post the registration, the candidates should take a printout of the online application. They should then submit it along with all the documents to the Office of the District Backward Class Welfare Officer.

Important Pointers

According to the information given by the department, the candidates are not allowed to leave the training in the middle of the course. If the student leaves the training without giving any reason, they will have to refund the registration fee. They will also not be allowed to avail the benefits of this scheme in the future. 75 per cent of biometric attendance during training is also mandatory. Candidates whose names are on the waiting list will be debarred from the training if they remain absent for 15 days or more without any valid reason.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government announced a free one-year course in computers for the youth belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and OBC. As per the guidelines of the UP government, the students will receive this training at the Regional Service Yojana Office.
