PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 26,000 crore from Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh and more than Rs 8,000 crore from Nizamabad in Telangana
Continuing with his political campaigns to poll-bound states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to amplify the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign in Chhattisgarh and Telangana on Tuesday. The Prime Minister will also launch a slew of development projects in both states where legislative elections are due by the end of this year.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 26,000 crore from Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region and more than Rs 8,000 crore from Nizamabad in Telangana.
PM Modi In Chhattisgarh
While in Jagdalpur, PM Modi will dedicate to the nation the NMDC Steel Ltd’s steel plant at Nagarnar in Bastar district. Built at a cost of more than Rs 23,800 crore, the plant is a greenfield project that will produce high-quality steel.
PM Modi will also launch multiple rail projects in the state. He will inaugurate a new rail line between Antagarh and Taroki and a rail line doubling project between Jagdalpur and Dantewara.
Moreover, he will lay the foundation stone of the Boridand-Surajpur rail line doubling project and redevelopment of Jagdalpur station, apart from starting several other projects.
PM Modi In Telangana
During his Nizamabad visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the first 800 MW unit of phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project of the NTPC. The project. which will be one of the most environmentally compliant power stations in the country, aims to provide low-cost power to the state and boost its economic development.
PM Modi will also dedicate to the nation rail projects including the new line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet and the electrification project between Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool.
Further, in a move to augment health infrastructure in the state, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of 20 critical care blocks (CCBs) under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
These CCBs will be built in Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Hyderabad, Khammam, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar (Badepally), Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Rajanna Sircilla, RangaReddy (Maheshwaram), Suryapet, Peddapalli, Vikarabad and Warangal (Narsampet) districts of Telangana.
BJP’s Poll Pitch
While in Chhattisgarh’s Jagdalpur and Telangana’s Nizamabad, PM Modi is also expected to address public rallies during the BJP’s political programmes. Both Chhattisgarh and Telangana will go to polls in December this year.
This will be PM Modi’s second visit to both states within the span of a week.
The Prime Minister kicked off BJP’s election campaign in Telangana, with a roadshow and a rally in Mahabubnagar on Sunday. In his speech, he targeted both Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress and announced the Centre’s decision to establish a National Turmeric Board.
PM Modi held a mega-campaign for BJP in poll-bound Chhattisgarh on Saturday. He also attended the concluding ceremony of BJP’s two ‘Parivartan Yatras’ in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur where he targeted the Congress government in the state.
